Well it’s official, friends: I’m heading to the Super Bowl!! I’ve been spending a fair amount of time this week on my FFLibrarian blog discussing how exciting it is to really and truly have a SB trip in my future. I’ve also made note of it on my Facebook page, drawing more comments than any of my other 2-3 status updates in my life (yeah, not a big status updater…), I’ve been in touch with friends and colleagues who are also going to be at the game, and my mom is somehow convinced that she will see her daughter on television during the game. I’ve tried numerous times to explain to her that it doesn’t work that way but in her mind, I will be there, so why wouldn’t I be on tv? Try and argue with that logic.
So far the plan for the SB weekend is still being developed. I’ll be flying down with my husband on Friday, Feb 5th and that night will be co-hosting a party at the Miami BWW with Trey Wingo from 5:30 to 7:30. If you’re in the area, please join us – there are plans in the works for some great SB weekend giveaways at the BWW party and I’d love to meet any readers who live down there or might be in town for the game.
Other than that, there are other events, parties, etc that are in the works but the BWW folks have just secured us some media credentials for the NFL Media Center, which is pretty fantastic. I’ll be honest, I’m feeling extremely well taken care of – and the BWW crew is obviously trying to make this a great experience for me (and my husband, which is completely above and beyond). During the SB weekend I’ll be blogging several times a day here on the All-Star Blogger League site and will likely be tweeting during the actual game itself. Until then, I’ll be posting here a few times a week as my plans for the SB weekend firm up – and as we figure out which teams will be at the game! Enjoy today’s playoff games…
