Ahh, the good times keep rolling here in Florida. Last night we spent some time in South Beach, which was fun and just a totally different scene than Ft. Lauderdale – had dinner and then hit up a party, which included characters as wide ranging as Evander Holyfield, Jerome Bettis, and fantasy guru Matthew Berry. We tried to make it to the Madden Bowl but apparently the fire marshall had to put the kibosh on that one when it was clear that everyone would not fit. Heard it was a fun time though.
This morning started off slowly with some sleeping in, much needed coffee, and a light sprinkle of rain. Fortunately most of our day is being spent inside at various events – we headed back over to the NFL Media Center again first. I met Trey Wingo after he did a marathon 10 interviews in the span of a few hours – very nice guy, congratulatory on the big Buffalo Wild Wings All-Star Blogger League win and immediately wanted to know what my winning strategy had been. Turns out he played in 4 fantasy football leagues this year. Interesting and somewhat unexpected.
Listened to Roger Goddell’s press conference and ogled the Super Bowl trophy before heading back to the hotel to regroup and grab some lunch before we roll back down to Miami. We’re swinging by a Venus Williams event at the W Hotel before hosting our party at Buffalo Wild Wings at the Dolphin Mall. Not sure yet what the rest of the night will hold, but it’s sure to be a good time.
