Unbelievable

It’s official – the trip to the Super Bowl was incredible. Our SB day started with a trip to the rental car company to get one-day rental, which was by far the cheapest way to get to and from the big game. Signs in our hotel noted transportation for $75 each way, per person. No thanks. So we hopped into an itty-bitty Toyota Yaris (I fixed its broken radio by banging my fist against it – awesome, right?) and rolled on out to the NFL Alumni party sponsored by PrimeSport. A little valet parking, free food and drink, and more Saints enthusiasm than you can even imagine greeted us at the event. It was held at the Calder Casino so it overlooked the stadium – awesome background for the event. There were plenty of NFL alums on hand to help get the party going and that is where I decided I’d heard “who dat” just maybe one too many times…even the restroom was out of control with fan excitement. But truly the enthusiasm was contagious and we met some very friendly Saints fans. And while I might not be super excited about “who dat” I loved the random brass bands just popping out of nowhere all weekend with Saints fans going nuts.

After the NFL Alum/PrimeSport party we walked over to the stadium and found our seats by about 5:00 – plenty of time to enjoy the setting before the game and festivities really got going. We took lots of photos, which will be going up over the next several days, but I just have to say our seats were incredible. The Buffalo Wild Wings crew really took great care of us all weekend long and the seats at the game were just like the cherry on top.

So it’s all over, my husband is sad that the Colts lost, and we’re slowly getting our day started – but the good news for today is that there’s time for me to visit with my grandmother before heading back to NYC tonight.

Stay tuned for photos and any other stories that come to mind as I reminisce over the weekend’s awesomeness!
